Unstable Ecologies
The exhibition is divided into three theme-related groups that explore art as a form of resistance to the rationale of political and social dominion (Roots of Resistance), to the dynamics of the overwhelming of the natural world (Unstable Ecologies), and, lastly, as a reflection on the transformations of identity in the post-human era (Geographies of Detachment). These three sections outline a conceptual and visual path that moves from the historical and political corpus to more fluid, ecological, and immaterial dimensions, where the body is dissolved.
The works in the Unstable Ecologies section reflect on the ongoing environmental and social crises, addressing issues such as climate change (Silvia Camporesi, Laura Pugno), the exploitation of natural resources, and systemic inequalities. Art becomes a tool for awareness and denunciation, highlighting the deep connections between ecological degradation (Elena Mazzi) and social injustice. The artists also investigate the consequences of geopolitical and cultural conflicts (Martina della Valle, Letizia Battaglia), offering complex perspectives on the effects of global processes on the planet and its inhabitants, but also on the possibilities for resilience, transformation, and regeneration.
